Mount Peak (Pinnacle Peak) — Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026

I started from the south trailhead around 10:30 this morning and took the road up to where it ends, then hopped on the trail the rest of the way up to the lookout. Not much in the way of views today, but it was still an enjoyable hike. I came down a slightly different route, stopping to check out the columnar basalt along the way.

The pit toilets at the trailhead were clean and well-stocked. It looks like the Cal Magnusson trail is still closed for a washout according to signage at the trailhead, and there was a fence with another trail closed sign at the top end of the trail as well.
