In town for a pop-up from my favorite barbecue slinger at the Grotto at Sleeping Lady and still nursing a few broken bones, I decided to do some urban hiking.
I parked at Enchantment park and walked to Wenatchee River Institute and back. The flooding from December with obvious, similar to Al Borlin Park in Monroe along the Skykomish when it has its seasonal flooding. Vegetation covered with river silt and log debris piled up against trees, still standing.
Blue sky above and plenty of views of the river, the trail was busy but not overly so. Sure beats walking downtown amongst the shops.
The bathroom along waterfront was seasonally closed, but the bathroom at enchantment park was open, they sure don’t skimp on the heat in there!
