Lowell Riverfront Park Trail — Sunday, Mar. 1, 2026

Lowell Riverfront Park Trail by hikingwithlittledogs

Parked in the lot for the dog park. There is a honey bucket near the off leash area but we didn’t check it out. The trail towards the boat launch is closed but there’s still plenty to see.
We took a left just past the dog park and explored the wetlands then looped back around to the main trail. Lots of frogs singing. Used my Merlin app to identify over a dozen birds.

That white bird looks an awful lot like a Great Egret (?!) Awesome catch, can't say I've ever seen one in person.

I think you’re right! It was at least as big as a great blue heron and was being chased off by a seagull.

Yes, Great Egret! One had been hanging out at English Boom back in January!
