Gorgeous conditions today on trail. Took the PCT up and Old Commonwealth down. Love taking this route as you get to see clear views of Guye Peak and Red Mountain due to the higher elevation of the PCT.
Both trails are firmly packed and only microspikes are necessary right now. Old Commonwealth is well traveled by skiers and snowshoers alike, creating a wide trail in comparison to the PCT, which is boot path only.
Plenty of parking available on Monday morning at the Summit. Parking is now free on weekdays and non-holidays.
