CCC Road: Upper Trailhead — Monday, Mar. 2, 2026

From the Pratt Balcony parking to the Bessemer Road. RT 6.5 miles, 1000’ gain in 3 hours.
Nice mellow hike in the woods with many creek crossings (all doable without poles) and a few views along the way. We went a bit further than the Bessemer road and lollipopped it using a bit of a single track mountain bike trail. Someone recently cleared a huge blowdown making this portion of the CCC suitable for biking as well as hiking. Only saw 3 people on the CCC as most folks go up to the Pratt Balcony.
