This is actually from our sitings yesterday on the 10th. I tried to add it as a separate report last night, but the WTA website told me I had insufficient privileges and wouldn't accept it. Today I was able to begin a report on our hike today so I tried using today's date for yesterday's report and it was accepted! We had reservations to camp for 5 nights at Bayview SP so after registering we drove to the East and West 90 hoping to see short-eared owls and other birds, but there were no owls and very few birds except for a few harriers. Much to our surprise we did see about 2000 more snow geese which was unexpected as we had seen so many on the Moore Road when driving the Fir Island Road to Bayview SP. When we were at the West 90 a man walked over to tell us if we wanted to see more ducks than we had ever seen we should drive to the Cook Road and then turn left on Pulen Road. He said many swans and even more duck were enjoying all the potatoes in the field. The viewing was amazing! There must have been a million ducks and more swans than we have ever seen at one time! Photos don't do it justice!
