A perfect time of year to view larches and a spectacular array of peaks from an excellent trail in a beautiful area. The road is fine for a low clearance vehicle and we neither saw nor heard hunters. I recommend this terrific 7 mile, 3000 foot hike to a superb summit; it seems much easier than the numbers might suggest. Photos at: http://tinyurl.com/6k4pf
