Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

Although our group were actually heading for Philadelphia Mtn, we were almost to Lake Serene before we left the trail. Thought I would post this in case anyone might be going this weekend. The trail is easy to follow. A couple snowshoed all the way while a few put on snowshoes only about 1/2 mile from the lake. Quite a few blowdowns which we had to climb over or crawl under. Other than that, it was no problem. Cool to hear the "boom" of the avalanches on Mt Index.
