Brought along some family friends, so we had two sets of parents plus kids ages 9, 6, 6, and 3. Great condition for a Forest Service road to the trailhead, and a super short hike along a well-maintained trail for a big payoff! Had a picnic at the bench above the falls, then scrambled down to climb around on rocks & logs and play in the pools. The dads went up to check out the cool cave at the upper pool, and the root wall leading up there would also be a fun climb for older kids. Look out for rocks slippery with slime at the upper pool as you cross to the cave, though.
