Started out hiking at 5:00 pm, very pleasant hike in the shade!
Mosquitoes were fierce in the "lowlands", good thing we had 100% deet. Had difficulty not inhaling the litter buggers!
The lake is awesome, be sure you hike around the south end, trail is somewhat hidden, and hike up to the other side (great trail) for vistas looking back down the canyon.
Saw a huge doe near the like and one cottontail rabbit.
