Cowiche Canyon Preserve — Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014

First time on this trail. Not sure why it has taken so long to try it - perhaps I should not spend all my free time heading deep into the mountains. Started around 1:30 pm from the west trailhead. Great day - started out sunny with no wind, but some high clouds crept in later in the afternoon. There is still plenty of color on the trees and vegetation along the stream. Climbed up the north slope on the Vineyard trail to get some views of the canyon and Mt Adams. Will certainly come back soon, especially to check out the wildflowers in spring.
