Trip Report
Deception Pass State Park - Headlands / Rosario Head / Lighthouse Point — Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015

I've driven (and ridden my bicycle) over Deception Pass many times, and boated through a handful of times, but never had the opportunity to hike around it until today. It was AMAZING. It was an easy hike that you can do with all ages, with plenty of 100-300 yard side trails that take you to different viewpoints. It took us 2 hours to hike the first 2.7 miles simply because we had to keep stopping to take in the views.
We kept hiking, trying to find a lighthouse, but we never found one because there isn't one! Only the USGS marker, which we did stumble upon accidentally. There were plenty of different birds to watch and many different seal sightings.
This hike is now on my Top 3 list, no question about it. I highly recommend you visit!
