Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

The day started out sunny and beautiful so lot was full when we arrived around 1pm. The restrooms were locked up for the winter. As we ascended, it began to get chilly, especially in the shaded forest. The last mile was covered in packed snow, which was very slippery and icy in spots. We navigated it fine with just boots and tennis shoes, but found our trekking poles helpful for extra balance. The day was clear and sunny on top with great views, but the wind chill kept us from staying up there too long. Bring layers!
