Trip Report

Mount Dickerman — Sunday, Mar. 29, 2015

North Cascades > Mountain Loop Highway
My cousin picked me up at 7am in seattle, we were at the trail head by 8:30, hiking by 8:45. 4 other cars were there but none of them were doing dickerman, they were doing the other trail accessed by the same parking lot. We made it to the top by 12:30 I think it was. We were on snow for probably the top mile and a half, there were foot prints to follow but we kicked in steps, we didnt used traction devices, we just had poles. We hung out at the top for about 30 min and took pictures trying to stay out of the wind, one other fella joined us just a few minutes after we got to the top. It wasn't socked in but it wasn't clear. We headed down passing lots of people who were coming up. I believe our total round trip time was 5:30. There were about 30 cars in the lot when we got back down. We went to the buzz in in granite falls and caught the end of the zags game. The buzz in was pretty nice! Would love to do the hike again on a clearer day.
