Snoquera Falls Loop — Sunday, Apr. 19, 2015

Mount Rainier Area > Chinook Pass - Hwy 410
My wife and I made this our hike for the weekend. We arrived in the parking lot just before 9 am and were surprised to be the only car there. Thought being that it was going to be a Sunday with blue skies and warm temperatures we would have plenty of company. We took the loop counter clockwise. We definitely recommend this direction as coming up the other way could prove more difficult. I also recommend just doing the one way up and coming back the same way rather than the loop for smaller children. The trail was in really good shape and the greenness of the forest floor was fantastic. though not the most scenic hike we have taken it was very peaceful and relaxing. It is a steady climb the whole way there but not a stressful one at all. Barely any exercise really. Once you reach the falls that was flowing fairly well, you will definitely be glad you chose to hike this trail. We where able to cross the falls with no issues then started our trek back down the other side of the loop. This side has many rock fields to cross. It wasn't bad but you should be careful since some is rather loose and it would be easy to loose your footing. Nothing along this trail is particularly steep and aside from the rocky sections is a nice little hike. As a note: make sure when you get down to the bottom to the cross trail, you turn left to go back to the parking lot. We had forgotten to bring our trip report that says to go left and we where unsure which direction to go. Logic told us to go left so it wasn't a problem really, but we where not 100% sure. Overall a nice little hike.
