Trip Report

Yellow Hill, Elbow Peak — Sunday, Apr. 26, 2015

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
Having passed over Yellow Hill, all that's left is an awesome ridge walk to the summit of Elbow.
Made the long trek up the ridge over Yellow Hill and onto Elbow Peak. The snow didn't start until just before Yellow Hill, which must have been about 5200' of elevation, and was intermittent and passable. The ridge between the two peaks was clear of snow, as in the photo. The summit of Elbow was almost clear -- plenty of rocks to sit on. This hike has great views, but it's a long walk with lots of altitude gain, given back, and regained.
From near the summit, this shows the route. You walk the ridge from left to right and then across.
From the top, you can almost kiss Mt. Stuart.
