
As everyone has said, it's a steep hike. There were only a few small patches of snow - but not on the trail. It should be gone soon.
Just to add to the directions to the trailhead others have posted: from the T-junction, it's about 1.3 miles to the junction of 5510 and from that junction, it's about 1.5 miles to the 2nd switchback, where you'd park. It took us about 15 minutes to the junction where the uphill trail from the logging road starts. There is a cairn. We didn't see any ribbon there. It's right after the stone-wall area.
