Thanks to the previous report we have also discovered the amazing trail to Mount Baldy that provides an alternative view at the valley from the one we are used to from Bandera Mountain, Granite Mountain, etc.
The trail is a bit hard to find: once you walk a couple of dozen feet from the parking lot, there is going to be a big sign, but there is not going to be any mention of trail 1212 for Mount Baldy that you are interested in. A couple of feet before the sign there is a small, but pretty worn out unmarked trail that veers to the river - that's the one you want to take. If you have walked along the river and crossed a small wooden bridge right next to a waterfall - you are on the right track.
After that the trail is pretty obvious - all turnoffs are closed with branches. The only non-obvious point is after about 2 miles in. There is a sign that points to Easton Ridge and to Domerie trail. If you look very closely at the sign, someone has already added an inscription for the Mount Baldy there. You want to walk in the direction of Domerie trail. If you see a hundred feet from the sign another wooden sign in memory of ..., then you are on the right track.
The trail to Mount Baldy is very beautiful: views start appearing as soon as about a mile in. You get the views of Kachess and Cle Elum lakes below as well as Easton Ridge and Baldy Mountain further in.
One thing to be aware of is the steepness of the trail. The gain is about 1000 feet per 1 mile and there are very few switchbacks to make it easier for you. We have measured an angle of the trail of 30 degrees at one point.
