Eagle Creek — Saturday, Mar. 5, 2016

Southwest Washington > Columbia River Gorge - OR
Tunnel falls is roaring
The warm wet weather this weekend convinced me that a waterfall hike in the Columbia River Gorge was in order. I met a few friends to hike the Eagle Creek trail up to Twister Falls in what turned out to be fairly dry weather, though the trail was dripping and often muddy. The parking lot was full (100+ cars) when I got there at 11 am and pretty much empty returning at 5 pm after about a 14 mile hike. The bridge crossing Tisch Creek, (just beyond the Punchbowl falls overlook) is out but crossing the creek on rocks and logs wasn't an issue.
