We packed up mountain bikes with the intention of riding to Ipsut Falls Campground and then hiking to Carbon Glacier and back. We didn't make it to the campgroung at all. We abandoned the bikes after 4.2 miles and climbed over 50 trees and under another 25 before deciding to turn back .8 miles later. We were likely within .5 mile from Ipsut Falls, but there was no end to the trees in sight.
