On a partly cloudy morning took the forest walk to Beaver Lake. This fairyland path, although short, offers lush forest and river views. The trail has had recent work and there's only one spot where it's a little tricky especially when wet, but stairs have been cut into the muck so it's not bad.
At the bridge over the lake I watched as a pair of startled ducks took flight and on the way back a Blue Heron also took to the air. All in all a beautiful spot.
