Trip Report

Umtanum Creek Canyon — Thursday, Jun. 2, 2016

Central Washington > Yakima
Went for a short hike after work. This is a great beginner hike because you can choose to go as far or as short as you like, i went about a mile and a half in. The area is very easy to find and the parking lot is quite big. I didn't see anyone on my hike but there was another car in the parking lot. The hike is pretty straight forward, follow the suspension bridge, my favorite part, and then when you go under the railroad bridge hang left and follow the tracks for about 25 yards and then you will see the trail go off into the woods on the right. Lots of wild flowers but not much wildlife on this day. Trail was in good condition and the great weather made this hike even more fun i would definitely recommend this hike to someone.
