My fiance and I hike a lot and were very excited to finally visit the falls. We hiked all the way down into the canyon to swim and I doubt she'll ever want to do it again. It makes sense why the State park doesn't encourage people to use these trails; they are very slick and very dangerous. We also had our german shepherd and it was almost impossible to hike back out of the trail. Was it worth the views? Yes. But use extreme caution if you decide to hike down.
