We had a happy frolic with the mosquitos along the Iron Goat Trail. We did a loop starting at the Martin Creek trail to the Windy Lookout then down to the train at the parking lot and back to our car at the other lot via the Iron Goat trail.
The road is passable, but the start of the dirt road is pretty rough with some large/deep potholes. After a few of those it gets better.
Martin Creek trail is pretty overgrown with foliage. Lots of wild flowers throughout the whole hike along with Salmon Berries which are almost ripe. Along the Iron Goat-lower trail there were several spots that had lots of Nettles along the trail.
The Mosquitos were bad and we forgot our bug spray.
We had a great time. Super easy trail and all the sights are awesome with nice cool breezes from the tunnels.
