Anderson Lake State Park — Friday, Aug. 5, 2016

Olympic Peninsula > Hood Canal
No swimming or fishing today.
Serene little lake and an enjoyable short trek through the woods. There were only a few people here on a sunny Friday afternoon, probably due to the lake being closed because of the recurring algae toxicity problem. Which is a shame because its a pretty spot. I'm not sure I've ever been to a lake where there were no ducks or geese swimming around. Despite the water problem, the trails were lovely, well maintained, and make for an enjoyable afternoon.
Neat exposed gnarly tree roots.
