Fun, quick little hike. I started at 6pm after fishing down on the North Fork Tieton River, and was able to make it to the top before 7pm. I was a little sketched out since there was nobody else parked at the trailhead, but I had bear-spray with me so I figured "why not" haha. And I'm glad I did.
The hike was definitely worth the view, and I want to do it again someday, hopefully to catch the sunset fading into the silhouette of Rainier. It's got a lot of good little spots to camp at the top, but unfortunately no running water anywhere nearby. Great views all-around, though, and it's nice that access is close-ish from the Yakima side. If you're looking for a quick, somewhat steep hike that'll get your heart going, this is a good one that definitely pays off at the end.
