Southwest Washington > Columbia River Gorge - WA
3 Stringer log bridge being built by WTA and CHC volunteers in 2010
Thanks to the efforts of the Cape Horn Conservancy a new log footbridge is scheduled to be built near the Salmon Falls Trailhead the week of August 22-25. While CHC has provided the coordination, funding and leadership on this project, WTA is lending a hand with some technical support and elbow grease. As it is a busy trail we're doing the construction on weekdays. Registration is available for people to lend a hand with this and several other trail projects in the vicinity - check out the work party list on our website.
The newest bridge will replace this one. Its hiker only on this section so it will be a single foot log.
