CONSTRUCTION DELAYS POSSIBLE Please be advised we are going to be installing a Bridge at the creek crossing just past the trailhead this coming Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (August 22-25). We may have to halt trail traffic for short periods of time as we drag a 20 ft. log down the trail and raise it onto its foundation. The process will involve a cable hauling system that has multiple danger zones so we can't have people hiking past while the log is in motion and under tension. The best times to hike during the construction will be early in the morning on Monday before we begin moving. And (probably) after Tuesday by when we should have things fairly secure and a temp bypass bridge in place. Thanks to the Cape Horn Conservancy and WTA volunteers plus many private donors who made this project possible!
The log stringer and sills arrived yesterday
