Hummocks Trail — Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016

South Cascades > Mount St. Helens

We hiked the hummocks after visiting the Johnston Ridge Observatory with our 6 and 2.5 year old daughters (little was in a backpack). Very nice hike through small hills. Be sure to keep a close eye out for roots and rocks that blend in perfectly with the ash of the trail. Large open areas offer sweeping views of the river and Mt St Helens. Be sure to remember the sunscreen. Would recommend paired with one of the visitors centers close by on hwy 504.
