North Cascades > North Cascades Highway - Hwy 20

Hiked this trail last Saturday with a group of 10 people and 2 dogs. From reading previous trip reports, we took note that the walking bridge in the beginning of the trail was down. Also there are signs posted at the trailhead that the bridge is down for the season. From others, we read that there is a log crossing if you walk through Colonial Creek Campground (closed for the season) and go to site #27. There are 2 crossable logs here. Once you cross, you walk through a mossy rock wash, and will reconnect with the trail, kind straight a head and a lil to the left. Besides that the trail is easy. The view at the top is great. When we went last Saturday there were not that many people on the trail.
