Trip Report

Larrabee State Park - Chuckanut Falls — Wednesday, Mar. 1, 2017

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area
Bridge near the beginning of the hike
We parked at the Arroyo Park TH. We had a trail map, but still managed to miss a turn which gave us an extra mile and 400 feet more elevation gain! Because of the recent rain there were a few muddy areas, but they were mostly easily navigated. The forest was green and beautiful. The freeway noise was distracting in some areas, but in spite of this the hike is highly recommended because of the beauty of the forest and its accessibility for those living in the Bellingham area.
Waterfall we would have missed if we hadn't missed a turn.
