Manastash Ridge - Westberg Trail — Sunday, Apr. 30, 2017

Central Washington > Yakima
Arrowleaf Balsamroot
The Westberg Trail up Manastash Ridge has an excellent wildflower show at this time. Down low are balsamroot, desert parsley, one lupine with more to follow, woodland star, ballhead waterleaf, buttercups, and more. Higher up spring beauty takes over with grass widows, sagebrush violets, bluebells, and a lot of yellow flowers. We continued on to the observatory. Lots more violets, grass widows, and spring beauty. Snow is gone but bugs are getting to be a bother. Not biting or stinging just a bother. My full trip report with 56 annotated photos is up at Hikingnorthwest.com. The link after the photos below.
