Hegg-Benson Trail — Sunday, May. 14, 2017

Took a quick Mother's Day walk here. What a lovely trail on a beautiful day! Gentle and mild elevation gain at the beginning, crystal clear waterfall and a bench to sit and enjoy it. Just a nice spot to stretch your legs--would be a great picnic spot on the way over the pass. One note: we noticed some scat on the trail, I couldn't tell you what left it. When we got back to the trailhead, our dog alerted and began barking up the trail pretty aggressively. We didn't hang out or investigate, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was something else wilder than us enjoying the trail that day too. Take precautions and be aware of your surroundings.
