Tubal Cain Mine to Buckhorn Lake — Saturday, May. 20, 2017

To much snow shortly after the Buckhorn Lake cutoff for me to get to the lake.  Lost trail and was postholing up to my crouch.  Not sure how the trip poster on 5/17 got to the lake but I could not manage it.  Also, there are approx. 6 snow fields one must cross between Tubal Cain and the Buckhorn Lake cutoff.  While they were not to difficult to cross a slip and slide would not be pleasant.   Lots of snow remains on Iron and Buckhorn mtns.
