I hiked this with my 11-month-old Siberian husky. This is a nice, short hike that would be suitable for children and dogs. There were very few people on the trail as I was heading up and the view from the top is beautiful! The hike starts off in a forested area, but you quickly leave that behind as you head up the trail. Sidenote: if you are going to take a dog on this hike, bring a lot of water. There aren't any streams or places where your dog can cool off once you break out of the forested area. It's pretty well-shaded, but you wouldn't want your furry friend to overheat. I will definitely hike this trail again.
