There are a couple notable things about this short, lovely hike.
There was a lot of maintenance being performed on the trail, and much of the area is roped off for re-vegetation & social trails being discouraged. Once reaching the lake, there is a Y in the trail, left goes down by the lake, but if you follow the right hand trail (which appears to be a main part of trail) it ends up being one of the areas being discouraged at the other end, so it was confusing. Presumably the trail will be re-routed or otherwise maintained to reroute hikers taking that right hand path.
There were lots of mountain goats out this day, I saw at least four at one point, but believe there were a couple others I didn't see. That was a treat!
The weather was lovely, one of the final sunny days of the year I suspect!
