Winchester Mountain — Monday, Sep. 25, 2017

North Cascades > Mount Baker Area

What an amazing spot to camp!!! There were around 70 cars parked at the TH for Yellow Ashter. Until that spot you can make it with a lower car. Passed it, you need a high clearence car.

The hike is super easy and it takes one hour to get up and less to get down.

We had a late start (1 pm) and we had to leave the car close to Yellow Ashter so we had to hike to the trail head on the road so that added to our hiking time. But considering how easy it was, it really didn't bother us.

There are berries everywhere. The lakes are magical and the view is breathtaking. I can only imagine how beautiful the sky must look like during the night.
