Five of us did this hike Saturday morning. Ran in to compacted snow on the road about a half a mile from the trail head. Trail had 3 to 5 inches of snow on it, but we where able to see where the trail was through the woods. Once we got past the lake and into the first small meadow the snow was getting deeper. We kept going all the way to the start of Grand Park, the snow was about 12 inches deep. With all the snow on the whole trail, this made for a very hard hike, we had to blaze trail trough on tracked snow all the way!

Great pics! How scary was the road with snow on it?

Road was not bad, I drive a Sabaru. There had been lots of cars or trucks on the road.

We went up Sunday morning and the trail was easy to follow thanks to those of you the previous day. The meadow was beautiful with the snow and sun. Thanks again to those whom broke the trail on Saturday.
