The original intention was to get to Lake Stuart because we already did Colchuck in late July. Saw the signs at the trail head saying the bit to Lake Stuart was closed and we crossed our fingers they just forgot to take the signs down. Nope, they hadn't forgotton to take the sign down. So we went to Colchuck instead. Let me tell you, it was much more enjoyable to hike in 35 degrees than 95 degrees hahahah. There was some snow alongside the trail and up at the lake. Aasgard and Dragontail were beautiful with the snow and the larches dotting the sides.
