Tieton River Nature Trail — Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017

Central Washington > Yakima
Still green aspen grove

The fall color along the Tieton River Nature Trail is quite nice this week. Still too early for much color in the aspen, but the red osier dogwood, garry oak and maples are all coloring up quite nicely.  The plywood bridge (furthest upstream) has new decking with great traction, an approach stairs on the north side and a ramp to the trail on the south side. It is much easier to cross than in the past. We just did a short hike down to the suspension bridge, a three mile round trip. Very little elevation gain or loss.
