Kendall Peak Lakes Snowshoe — Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017

We went up here today hoping to get in a great snowshoe and see winter wonderland views. We certainly succeeded in having a lovely snowshoe trip, but the views were more of icy fog shrouding the surrounding slopes.

I-90 all the way up to Snoqualmie Pass is in decent shape, though there is ice and snow on the road in places. Once you turn off at Hyak prepare for the road to by very icy and slippery. Take your time and drive carefully.

The trail was easy to follow and the snow just wonderful feeling beneath or snowshoes. There's a fine blanket of recent powder and it's not too hard or icy for comfort for most of the trail. The only serious obstacles, coming back down, were all the families using the trail for sledding :)
