The road is closed but, the walk to the trail head is just over .2miles. Trail is in excellent condition! If you want a hike that is not super crowded then this one is great. We arrived around 12:50 and made it back by 3:30 and that was with spending some time at the summit. At the top you will see gorgeous views of the Olympics. Today was cloudy but, once at the summit we were above the clouds so we saw the mountains. Short hike but, it is steep. No streams or water on the trail so you can totally do this in tennis shoes like I did and still be totally comfortable. To add this hike is dog friendly.
