The road has a lot of potholes, but it isn't a lot of miles so very manageable. The trail has a lot of trees and blowdowns, especially on the backside as you get into snow and drop down to the river. Nothing you can't climb over or under or go around! There is a lot of running water and a lot of small creek crossings. There is only snow through the burn area and then dropping down toward 5 mile camp, spikes not necessary on 3/25.
