Beautiful hike, only four other people on the trail all day.
After about two miles, you reach the "climber area" and the first snow on the trail. Was hard to pick up the trail again after this first patch, so look down and across the rock face. Then, things got interesting with a lot of snow and melt. Lost the trail again twice but always picked it back up.
However, I ended up going further up the side of one of the mountains after following some ski tracks. Didn't make it to / overshot the actual pass. But the views were incredible and the terrain varied and interesting. Definitely recommend this hike, and hope to come back myself.
