Lake Dorothy - Lake Bear - Lake Deer — Saturday, May. 26, 2018

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

the days hike was great.  WTA crews where hard at work  a couple trees over the trail at one point but easy to go under.  we found one milar balloon floating in the lake,  please tell everyone you know when you let a balloon go it does not just float away it ends up in our forests, lakes, and streams.  a big thank you to the crew working on the trail,  there efforts make the hike enjoyable for all.

Thanks Ed.
On the left of your photo is a part of the tree that crashed onto this site. There was much damage to the trail.
The WTA crew did manage to get the steps and turnpike fixed, and safe, but not as finished as we would like it to be. Maybe that can get done in a few weeks after some other Hwy 2 trails get some care.
Met a bunch of hikers with babies and dogs.
Thanks to all for hiking and visiting.
John

Kudos to all the trail crews! Lots to do every spring so we can hike unimpeded.
And thanks for mentioning the mylar balloon - one of my pet peeves. It's amazing the places you will find them! They can litter the forest in places we can't even get to...
