Twisp Pass — Wednesday, Jun. 27, 2018

North Cascades > Methow/Sawtooth

Fun day!  I've included 4min of video highlights below..

Road: not really 'rough', but once you leave the pavement, at about 1.5 mile is a small washout, doable in any car if you go slow.

Trail: First 2 miles badly overgrown in many places.  3 trees down across the trail (see photo) all 6-8in diameter so I wish I'd had my Silky saw.  From top to bottom in photo they are located at 0.5mi, 2.5mi and around 3mi.  There are patches of snow in last 1/2 mile of trail but quite easy to walk through/on.

Wildflowers: buckwheat, desert parsely, lupine, arnica, rose, shooting star, marsh marigold, glacier lily and others I've forgotten.

Met the 'Hardy Girls', a fun local Wednesday hiking group!
