Conditions listed pertain to our daytime trip along the Baker Lake trail starting at the South TH. Hot beautiful woodsy trail with blooming Devils Club, trickling water and Old growth. Peek a boo views until the first turn off to Anderson Point. Decided to stop here because of ideal spot and superb conditions! Great sites with tent pad, bear lockers and fire rings. Lots of folks enjoying the water, berries and sunshine. Sadly our trip came to a quick dramatic end at midnight with a forest fire just south of Anderson Point. Evacuated across lake with helpful boater and driven to TH by firefighter to our ash covered car. Hoping for a quick end to this horribly careless fire that surely was human caused. Suggest calling Ranger St prior to heading to area.

That pic of the fire was the only one I took as we sped to the west side in our awesome volunteers boat!
