- The road leading to the trailhead for around 3 miles has a lot of potholes, driving slow can help driving a low clearance vehicle
- Trail is in a very good condition
- Sunday afternoon very few people
- Bugs at the lake or near to the lake are terrible, take your bug spray and we had an infant and couldnt stay long near the lake due to bugs
- Not a lot of place near the lake to sit down (I hope I did not miss a spot to sit down comfortably)
- Was a very comfortable hike with my infant in the carrier, trekking poles will be helpful
- One thing that we did not expect was in the evening some people starting shooting their guns near trail head, I wasn't sure if it was even allowed to.
