It was a long drive to this. 2 hours one way from Mount Vernon, but worth it. The day was really hazy from the nearby wildfires but we decided to go anyways. The views were limiting unfortunately but we still had a great time. The berries were ripe (and delicious) and the trail was steep. The lookout was manned by two friendly fellows who welcomed us. We stayed until sunset and then headed back. We left at 3:30 got back to the car around 10:30. I would definitely go again if anything just to see the supposedly amazing views.
P.S. Yes, the road is bad.
