Robinson Canyon - Ainsley Canyon — Sunday, Sep. 30, 2018

Central Washington > Yakima
Trail? Or just a log drag route?

Set out to Eastern Washington to avoid the showery mountain conditions and weren't disappointed with a great mostly sunny day! Unfortunately the trails in this area are not in great condition. We expected difficult wayfinding given the washout that took out the original Robinson Canyon trail, but recent logging has obliterated many of the remaining paths and created a dustbowl effect.

On the other hand, some of the trails are still fine, and the fall colors are gorgeous! Still a good day on the trail!

Yes, the "dust" is about 6" deep in some spots (just past the stone hut.) Not fun for us and really not fun for our little dog.
